Universo Vegano

As I have been in Florence one of the restaurants that is as the top of my list is Universo Vegano.

Caprese salad: Their caprese salad is one of the best vegan cheeses I have tasted, they usually taste spongy, dry, and like plastic. In this salad is the most similarly tasting mozzerella I have had. It smells and tasted like dairy mozzerella which really made me want to try the rest of their food

Eggplant parm: I also tried their eggplant parm. I usually rather cold or cool meals, but this meal was warm and comforting. It reminded me of home. The goey vegan cheese, steamy tomato sauce, and eggplant reminded me of my grandmas famous zuchini pie that she would always make during the Jewish holidays. Being here I am missing the very important Jewish holidays, and having this meal reminded me of home. The smell of the meal even took me back to being in my grandmas kitchen helping her cook her zuchini pie
